Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Access Representative to join our team at Dayton Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access and registration processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Assume responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services, including appointment scheduling, registration, and payment collection.
  • Collaborate with patient access staff and other departments to efficiently facilitate access to hospital services.
  • Process cancellations, reschedule appointments, and coordinate pre-access processes to maintain a high fill rate in clinics and testing areas.
  • Educate patients on the importance of bringing pertinent information regarding coverage and benefits related to their visits.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registration experience and unit clerk experience preferred.
  • Excellent phone skills and interpersonal communication skills.
