About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric ICU Nurse to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client in Dayton, Ohio. As a Pediatric ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children in the Pediatric ICU
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
- Monitor and report patient status to the healthcare team, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines and administering blood transfusions
- Document patient information and progress in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in Ohio
- 2+ years of experience in Pediatric ICU nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Ability to lift 50-100 pounds
