Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Access Specialist II to join our team at Dayton Children's Hospital. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the successful financial outcomes of all patient services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer-service coverage and assume responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services.
- Perform imperative duties, including appointment scheduling, registration, transcribing orders, insurance verification, telephone coverage, data entry, filing protected health information (PHI), patient referrals, and payment collection.
- Maintain patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Dayton Children's Hospital financial solvency.
Department Specific:
This role is part of our Primary Care department and requires a strong understanding of patient access processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- GED or High School diploma required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
