Recreation Activities Coordinator

Role Summary
- In the role of Recreation Activities Coordinator, you will support the Youth Activities Supervisors and/or the Director of Youth Programs in managing the daily functions of the Youth Program.
- Your primary responsibility will be to create a friendly, secure, and inviting atmosphere for children, allowing parents to engage in their fitness routines with peace of mind. It is essential that you ensure that all team members deliver outstanding customer service and maintain active engagement with the children.
- Due to the dynamic nature of the Club's operations, you may be required to undertake various tasks as needed; thus, collaboration with colleagues is vital.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized youth area.
- Assist with supervision and check-in processes.
- Provide guidance for youth utilizing club facilities.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols in all youth spaces.
- Help manage and care for the facilities and equipment designated for youth activities.
- Conduct daily inspections of areas and equipment to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning.
- Keep youth areas free from hazards and debris.
- Support team members in building and maintaining personalized relationships with members and their children.
- Engage children in interactive activities, including organized arts & crafts, fitness sessions, and games.
- Collaborate with the staff team to oversee and promote all youth events, such as birthday celebrations, camps, and other club activities.
- Respond to inquiries with courtesy.
- Enforce club regulations consistently and fairly.
- Ensure the Game Room & Exergame areas are cleaned and organized daily, including vacuuming, wiping down equipment, cleaning windows, and disposing of trash appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness in racquetball court areas and glass barriers.
- Promptly refer any issues or complaints to Supervisors.
- Prohibit unauthorized individuals from using the facility.
- Maintain clear and positive communication with all club staff.
- Contribute ongoing ideas for youth programming.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Youth Activities Supervisors and/or Director of Youth Programs.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Director of Youth Programs
- Works alongside Youth Activities Supervisors
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position does not include supervisory duties.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (or currently enrolled in High School), CPR/AED & First Aid Certification required.
- Language Proficiency: English
