With a diverse portfolio of properties, including government-assisted and public housing, fair-market housing, cooperatives, and condominiums, we are seeking a skilled Leasing Representative to join our team.
Job Summary
The Leasing Representative will be responsible for maintaining application waitlists, re-marketing projects as necessary, and initiating and concluding the rental process for vacancies. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to follow proper procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Waitlist Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date waitlists for multiple properties
- Initiate and conclude rental process for vacancies
- Communication
- Respond to inquiries from public/prospective tenants regarding project and apartment availability
- Provide clear and concise information regarding waitlist status and rental process
- Eligibility Determination
- Determine applicants' eligibility to be placed on the waitlist according to housing program requirements
- Application Processing
- Sort, date, and time-stamp incoming applications
- Mail out acknowledgement letters to applicants with application log/waitlist number
- Reporting
- Prepare monthly occupancy/vacancy reports for all sites
- Administrative Support
- Assist site managers with rental issues, such as canvassing and prescreening waitlists for potential rentals
- Correspond with different housing/social service agencies to place clients in housing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years' experience in leasing or property management, with supervisory experience preferred
- 2+ years' experience processing HUD project-based programs, with certification preferred
- Experience with Yardi Voyager, Real Page, or similar industry software
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and ability to follow proper procedures
