Job Description

Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for leading the sales efforts in a designated region, driving business growth and revenue expansion for Mast-Jägermeister US. This role requires a strong understanding of the spirits industry, distributor management, and commercial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth and revenue expansion in the region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, sales managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement commercial plans, including pricing, profit, and brand economics.
  • Ensure effective program development and commercial solutions are in place to improve brand execution and image.
  • Provide regular reporting and business intelligence to stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective tracking of key performance indicators.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual business reviews with distributors, ensuring alignment and progress towards business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the spirits industry, including key accounts, competitors, trends, and consumer behavior.
  • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the spirits and beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated distributor relationship management, account management, and chain experience.
  • Innovative and creative approach to expanding business and developing sales teams.
  • Experience leading, developing, motivating, and training sales teams.
  • Strong presentation, public speaking, and premium selling skills.
  • Well-developed influence and negotiation skills, with a persistent and persuasive approach.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including DISCUS, NABCA, and beverage alcohol laws.
  • Frequent travel required, with a valid driver's license and vehicle for travel between accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's Degree required, with an MBA a plus.
