Job Title: Associate Dean, Information Resources

Department/Unit: Library

Work Shift: Day (United States of America)

Salary Range: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00

The Associate Dean for Information Resources and Technology is a key leadership position at Albany Medical Center, responsible for overseeing all library operations, including staffing, services, education, technologies, and contracting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with administrative and leadership roles to develop and maintain services and resources that support the education, research, and patient care mission of the Albany Med Health System.
  • Work closely with constituents and the Information Services Department to identify academic, research, and administrative system needs and plan for implementations and upgrades.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for multiple library and audiovisual cost centers and ensure fiscal compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Play an active role in continuous quality improvement, long-term operational and strategic planning, and strive to improve operations and access to knowledge-based resources with increased efficiency and value.
  • Serve on multiple institutional committees, chair the College Information Technology Advisory Committee, and support the LCME and MSCHE accreditation processes.

Qualifications:

  • MLS, MLIS, or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of 15 years medical library experience
