Job Summary

The Statewide Financial System (SFS) is seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Specialist 2 to join our team. As a key member of the SFS Customer Experience and Engagement Pillar, you will be responsible for analyzing, validating, and responding to questions from end-users and stakeholders of the State's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to questions from system users and troubleshoot reported issues through testing.
  • Analyze complex situations and provide solutions, defining the approach for understanding and resolving end-user problems.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal staff, end-users, and management to identify and analyze end-user problems.
  • Document corrective actions, communicate resolutions to end-users, and establish timetables for completion.
  • Assess the validity of requested feature changes or updates from end-user requests and develop test plans.
  • Monitor for issues and ensure timely resolution, performing business analysis intelligence activities such as data mining and writing SQL queries.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in SFS PeopleSoft Financials functional areas and provide ad-hoc project support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or higher-level degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience in information technology, or 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science.
  • Strong SQL skills, financial accounting knowledge, and experience with PeopleSoft and ServiceNow.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and maintain a positive work environment.

  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and serve as a conduit between the system end-user community and internal SFS teams.
