Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at The Bahamas. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are maintained.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with head chefs and other kitchen leaders to plan and execute daily menus, specials, and events.
  • Conduct regular inventory and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of menu items, adhering to recipe guidelines and presentation standards.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to company standards and health regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of sous chef experience and 5+ years of kitchen experience.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary fundamentals, including knife skills, butchery, sauces, and kitchen stations.
  • Developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and motivate multiple levels of employees.
