Key Responsibilities:

  • Hang parts on conveyor lines using lift trucks or hoists, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Operate lift trucks to move materials and completed parts to designated locations, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Perform daily pre-operational safety checks on lift trucks and hoists to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inspect parts for defects and note any missing items for expediting, promoting quality control and efficiency.
  • Operate shot blast machines to clean weld slag, paint, and rust from large metal parts, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Adjust loads as required for loading shot blaster and powder coat lines, ensuring optimal production flow.
  • Assist department employees with tasks and projects as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles and promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Comply with all applicable occupational health and safety standards, as well as Crown's safety rules and regulations, to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.

Physical Requirements:

Per 8-hour shift, frequently work above chest level, work with arms outstretched, bend, stoop, twist, reach below knee level, squat, kneel, crawl, and climb steps. Continual lifting and carrying of objects weighing 0-10 lbs., frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing 11-30 lbs., and occasionally lifting and carrying objects weighing 31-50 lbs.

Mental Requirements:

Must be able to read, understand drawings and production order travelers, listen, communicate, and understand verbal and written instructions. Understand basic math, including decimals, and demonstrate mechanical abilities and aptitude. Must be able to remember, reason, and analyze, with moderate social interaction. Perform same basic tasks every day and follow well-established procedures.

Tools and Equipment:

Safety shoes, safety glasses, baseball cap, safety shields, hearing protection, bridge cranes, hoist, washer maintenance, respirators, lift trucks, and other personal protective equipment as needed.

Work Authorization:

Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire.
