Job Summary:

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for proposing improvements to department/plant operations through manufacturing engineering analysis of existing operations compared to future requirements based on capacity, cost reduction, safety and/or risk avoidance opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparations of project justification including recommendations, make-vs-buy analysis, layout, cost impact and schedule activities as required.
  • Implementation of processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation, work standard measurement and production start-up.
  • Implement process improvements including activities such as project management, tooling selection through implementation, N/C programming, etc.
  • Provide ongoing support of processes resulting from process improvement, part changes, changing capacities, etc.
  • Develop reports, project briefings and management presentations.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have valid driving privileges.
  • Requires good organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor Process Technicians, Supervisors, and others.
  • Four-year Engineering degree OR a two-year Engineering degree with seven years of work experience is required OR no degree with 16 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills specific to manufacturing processes.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to lead the discussion, meeting, project, etc., and communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to lead cross-functional teams and manage small to medium projects.
