Located in Richmond, Virginia, this role requires a distinguished professional with a strong background in transplant surgery, including expertise in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring residents and students, establishing clinical research projects, and participating in departmental and university committees.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical Expertise: Provide high-quality patient care, manage complex cases, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Education and Research: Develop and lead educational programs, establish clinical research projects, and publish research in reputable journals.
  • Service and Leadership: Serve on departmental and university committees, contribute to policy development, and participate in strategic planning.

Required qualifications include:

  • Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Transplant Surgery or foreign equivalent.
  • ASTS Fellowship training in multi-organ transplantation and procurement.
  • Able to meet licensing requirements in Virginia, and be UNOS certified or eligible.
  • Strong teaching and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a diverse academic environment.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000 - $350,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
