The Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a prominent client in the residential construction sector. This client is a well-established luxury homebuilder known for its high-quality developments.


POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for estimating necessary materials for residential construction projects, managing Purchase Orders, and overseeing budget documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate material takeoffs using the company's ERP software.
  • Issue precise Purchase Orders for new home projects.
  • Generate and analyze cost reports to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Keep job-specific budget reports updated throughout the construction cycle.
  • Process Purchase Order requests from Trade Partners and the Construction Team.
  • Handle Change Orders as requested by Sales and Design Teams.
  • Respond to inquiries from subcontractors regarding contracts and field issues, troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Resolve discrepancies and enhance the accuracy of bids and takeoffs.
  • Investigate and address billing and payment inquiries.
  • Assist in the setup of new plans, options, and communities.
  • Perform related administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with a Production Homebuilder, particularly in Procurement/Estimating.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines.
  • Proactive problem-solver and collaborative team player.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quick to learn new software applications.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making abilities with a commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining positive relationships with management, colleagues, and Trade Partners.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Experience with ECI Mark Systems is preferred but not mandatory.
