Position Overview:

The Estimator plays a crucial role in our operations, responsible for:


• Assessing labor and material expenses associated with residential construction based on detailed building plans and specifications.


• Utilizing advanced estimating software to produce accurate quantity takeoffs.


• Developing bid items and formulating comprehensive budgets for each project.


• Collaborating closely with the purchasing department to ensure all project costs are meticulously tracked.


• Coordinating all estimating functions to align with the company's strategic objectives.


• Analyzing cost discrepancies within project budgets.


• Gaining familiarity with the company's cost management systems.


• Performing additional responsibilities as required.

Key Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess:


• In-depth knowledge of residential construction techniques and materials.


• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans.


• Understanding of scopes of work and compliance with building codes relevant to residential construction.


• Strong skills in software applications, including KOVA, 2D Estimating, and Excel.


• Excellent communication abilities, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.


• The capacity to manage tight deadlines, adapt to changes seamlessly, and handle a high volume of work with minimal supervision.


• (PREFERRED) Experience in estimating within a national residential building context.

Qualifications:


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the residential homebuilding sector.


• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.


• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and background checks.


• Availability for a standard five-day work week.


• Professional attire and personal grooming standards to represent the company effectively.
