Overview of the Role
The Engineering Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the technical aspects of engineering initiatives. This position involves the design, specification, and commissioning of both new and upgraded process equipment. The Engineering Project Coordinator provides essential engineering support and leads investigations into deviations concerning equipment and manufacturing processes. This role is integral in assisting the Engineering Manager to achieve or surpass project income targets, execution plans, and overall company satisfaction metrics. Key Responsibilities

· Comprehend the requirements and technical specifications outlined by the Engineering Manager.

· Distribute requests for proposals to potential suppliers, gather quotes, engage in discussions regarding the technical and financial elements of these proposals, and offer recommendations to the Engineering Manager.

· Oversee and coordinate the installation of equipment and processes with external contractors and/or internal teams.

· Plan and monitor the initiation of new equipment and production lines in partnership with maintenance and production departments.

· Contribute to the training of operators and technicians, aiding in their understanding and effective use of equipment, as well as defining operating procedures and settings.

· Suggest enhancements to processes and equipment aimed at improving product quality, safety, and cost efficiency, while boosting overall productivity and operational efficiency.

· Establish and uphold quality and safety standards.

· Provide technical guidance to all personnel and clients as necessary.

· Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with industry standards in future operations.

· Supply the Engineering Manager with all pertinent technical information to meet company objectives.

Qualifications

· Flexibility in work schedule is essential.

· A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

· At least 1 year of experience in Engineering and Plant Manufacturing.

· Familiarity with processing, packaging, and utility equipment designs to effectively guide technical resources in maintaining high productivity levels.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and technical software (AutoCAD).

· Ability to collaborate effectively with international suppliers.

· Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Capable of making sound judgments and explaining the rationale behind decisions in a timely manner.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, results-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

· Demonstrate leadership by example (adhering to safety protocols, using appropriate personal protective equipment, and punctuality).

· Ability to work in challenging environments, including extreme temperatures and proximity to machinery and chemicals.

Physical Requirements

· Capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb (including stairs/ladders).

· Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

· Capacity to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

· Physical dexterity necessary for handling supplies, machine parts, and tools.

· Vision capabilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Backup
The Engineering Manager serves as the backup in the absence of the Engineering Project Coordinator .
