The Sustainability and Circular Economy Coordinator will spearhead initiatives to assess, report, and manage operational advancements towards the institution's carbon neutrality objective and monitor overall sustainability metrics.

The ideal candidate will recognize the connection between social equity and environmental stewardship, integrating fairness into all implementation strategies. This role reports to the Director of Sustainability and plays a vital part in the Office of Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee reporting and data management efforts (30%)
  • Direct the execution of carbon neutrality and sustainability projects (50%)
  • Facilitate academic collaboration and external partnerships (20%)
About the Office of Sustainability:

The Office of Sustainability is dedicated to advancing sustainability efforts, transforming innovative concepts into impactful solutions, and fostering a culture committed to building an equitable and just world. Our primary focus includes carbon neutrality, sustainable food systems, environmental justice, regenerative ecosystems, and zero waste initiatives.

We collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and alumni to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future, creating a vibrant campus community that integrates environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic sustainability into its core values.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, sustainability, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability initiatives.
  • Proficiency in carbon accounting, reporting, and life cycle assessments.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting tools.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Genuine passion for sustainability and circular economy principles.
