Project Engineer for Global Regulatory Compliance
Location: Easton, Pennsylvania
Onsite role


This position is dedicated to securing and sustaining regional certifications and listings for the products and facilities of Onward Technologies Inc. This role acts as the main liaison with various regulatory bodies throughout the entire approval process, from the initial application stage to the receipt of the official certification and listing. The individual in this role will operate on a technical level to address challenges that arise, ensuring timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire and uphold new product listings and facility certifications to support the sales objectives of the company. Initiate and oversee product approval projects as necessary.
  • Act as the technical representative and primary liaison with national regulatory agencies and local authorities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Global Regulatory Compliance to develop and maintain financial metrics, including compliance costs, annual budget planning, and cost-saving strategies.
  • Serve as a resource for Technology Managers, Project Engineers, and Product/Project Managers regarding agency testing protocols, relevant standards, and product marking requirements.
  • Participate in approval agency audits as required, ensuring a smooth and efficient exchange of information. Supervise factory production audits and assist in resolving technical inquiries and follow-up actions.
  • Represent the company on standards committees and contribute to the development of global and regional codes and standards.
  • Undertake additional related projects as assigned by the Director of Global Regulatory Compliance.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures set forth by the Engineering Department to ensure the security and accessibility of electronic data and confidential information. Employees are responsible for following these policies in their daily operations, particularly regarding document management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical experience.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Language proficiency appropriate to the geographic area of responsibility.
  • Previous experience with products is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Self-driven with a strong desire to excel.
