Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager(s) in planning and executing all project-related activities. This includes account management, design, and project management.

The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of the project from beginning to end, with a primary focus on relationship management and communication within and between teams, customer representatives, and various project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the project team in ordering materials in a timely manner to meet the construction schedule
  • Communicate effectively with customers verbally and in writing
  • Follow up on correspondence in writing (email primarily)
  • Respond to phone calls in a timely manner
  • Communicate with factories and suppliers
  • Communicate with installation subcontractors
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractor performance
  • Identify and process all changes per the customer's direction and as required
  • Prepare direct entry sales orders
  • Produce fabrication work orders
  • Assist in collection efforts where applicable
  • Coordinate the project submittal process
  • Visit job sites as required
  • Provide close-out documents as required
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of relevant or similar professional experience
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Functional and working knowledge of computers
  • Effective time management skills
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Winning attitude, ability to multi-task, and detail-oriented
  • Good mathematical skills
Work Environment:

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. May occasionally require driving to project sites.
