Job Summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a skilled Project Manager II to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for planning and managing IT projects in our portfolio. This includes assisting business areas with IT projects, ensuring projects are well-defined, prioritized, and managed throughout their lifecycle to successful completion. You will also assign and supervise IT PMO staff to projects, oversee progress reporting and schedules, and coordinate with other IT departments on project requirements.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Assistant CIO with the planning and management of IT projects in the SCDOT portfolio
- Ensure IT projects are well-defined, prioritized, and managed throughout their lifecycle to successful completion
- Assign and supervise IT PMO staff to projects and oversee progress reporting and schedules
- Coordinate with other IT departments on IT project requirements including data, services, support, security, documentation, and deployment needs

Requirements

- A bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant project management experience
- A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required
