About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Riverside Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients, their belongings, and medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Effectively collaborate with referral sources, patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
    • Provide follow-up actions as needed to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Patient Support
    • Assist patients, family members, and visitors with directions and provide support as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Maintain all equipment used for patient transportation in a clean and working condition, adhering to Infection Control policies.
  • Team Support
    • Take ownership of new employee/student/co-worker onboarding to enhance retention and reduce staff turnover.
    • Support departmental productivity by volunteering for and recommending creative changes, including flexible scheduling and shift changes.
  • Supply Management
    • Ensure proper supplies are available in the transportation office to facilitate timely patient transports.
  • Medical Knowledge
    • Maintain a working knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals, including patient identifiers and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 1 year of experience working in a customer service capacity or related field.
  • Certifications
    • CPR/BLS Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., American Heart Association, American Red Cross).
