Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our Finance department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of Wisk's financial reporting, managing the monthly closing process, and ensuring compliance with our accounting policies for both domestic and international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise accounting functions including consolidation, general ledger management, payroll, and intercompany transactions, ensuring adherence to US GAAP and local regulations.
- Manage daily accounting activities: Oversee accounts payable, vendor disbursements, and payroll entries while producing precise financial reports.
- Review fixed asset records to confirm accurate capitalization and depreciation.
- Lead the accounts payable team, overseeing invoice processing and related financial systems.
- Execute month-end and year-end accounting tasks, including account reconciliations and journal entries, while maintaining thorough documentation.
- Prepare and distribute internal financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Controller and FP&A team to maintain accounting records aligned with reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage the preparation of various tax returns in partnership with external tax advisors.
- Assist in developing and refining accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive process improvements and automation within the accounting function to bolster effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
- Provide guidance on complex reporting transactions and assess the accounting treatment for unique situations.
- Support manufacturing financial processes, including cost accounting and inventory valuation, in collaboration with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams.
- Engage in special projects and contribute to team training initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity within diverse organizational settings.
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, with experience in ERP implementation.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly in technology and manufacturing sectors; CPA designation is preferred.
- Exceptional technical accounting skills with a proven ability to resolve complex accounting challenges.
- Demonstrated capability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a business partner, skilled in building trust and inspiring teams in dynamic environments.
- Strong track record in developing and implementing internal controls for compliance.
- Enthusiasm for navigating a fast-paced, evolving landscape.
