About the Role

Nuro is seeking an experienced and motivated professional with exceptional financial and business acumen to guide the company through subsequent stages of growth, fundraising, and scaled revenue. This role will report directly to Nuro's President and lead the Strategic Finance team, a fast-paced and high-impact team responsible for supporting Nuro's growth and financial health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support long-term growth initiatives, partnerships, and other business opportunities.
  • Support capital raising efforts by preparing financial projections and investor presentations and engaging with potential investors and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to guide decision-making and ensure financial stability.
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and manage financial risks, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and implement internal controls.
  • Monitor and control expenditures to optimize resource allocation and capital efficiency.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, strategy, and operations, to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for the executive team, board of directors, and investors to keep them informed of the company's financial status and progress.
About You

We're looking for a seasoned professional with 8-10+ years of progressive corporate finance, corporate development, or investment banking experience. Automotive/robotics/mobility experience is a plus. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, and an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.

You should have proven experience in leading and developing high-performing finance teams, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. You should be an expert in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and investment analysis, with a strong understanding of financial statements and key performance indicators.

You should be able to think strategically and provide actionable insights to drive business growth and financial performance. You should have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to executive teams, board members, and external stakeholders.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. You should have demonstrated success driving process improvement and automation in a finance function.

You should be able to build strong relationships and influence technical, business, and operational decisions. You should have a proactive, self-starter mindset with a passion for innovation and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

Bonus Points

Autonomy/automotive/robotics/mobility experience is a plus. Experience in a high-growth startup is also a plus.

Nuro offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base pay range of $183,825 to $275,975/year, an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
