The Space Systems Command (SSC) Technical Support (STS) 3rd Follow-on (STS-3) contract provides acquisition, technical and engineering support to the USSF Space Systems Command (SSC) Battle Management Command, Control & Communications Sustainment (BCS).

BCS acquires services to modernize and sustain the Satellite Control Network (SCN).

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in engineering to join the BCS STS-3 contract supporting the SCN government team.


Duties include:

  • Lead projects through planning, acquisition, and execution as technical support to the Government.
  • Providing systems engineering and integration technical support for satellite communications network systems including Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C), scheduling, communications, and associated systems.
  • Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines and ensure system modifications meet requirements.
  • Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of SCN systems.
  • Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Bachelor's Degree, and minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience with MS Project or relevant planning software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools and Jira.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects through the Systems Engineering life cycle and leading a team in identifying customer needs.
  • Expert level ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
  • Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, define potential solutions, and conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments and trades and explain results of technical studies in a systems engineering context.
  • Experience leading obsolescence report analysis.
  • Demonstrated understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, and acceptance testing strategies/methodologies.
  • AN ACTIVE DOD TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
Qualifications Desired

  • Scrum master certification
  • Working knowledge of the Satellite Control Network (SCN).
  • Current TS/SCI clearance.
