The CUCS Central Intake Unit is committed to facilitating housing solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, and individuals who meet specific low-income criteria. This department oversees the intake process for multiple supportive housing locations across various boroughs. This role will take the lead in organizing and conducting assessments for CUCS's latest supportive housing initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

The Client Intake Coordinator position is integral to the Central Intake Unit. This role entails managing the intake process for clients into assigned permanent housing facilities, which includes evaluating applications for eligibility, conducting housing assessments, and collaborating with referral sources and partner organizations. The Coordinator will also handle numerous data management tasks, including the daily oversight of various databases and systems for all program sites, as well as the preparation of monthly reports for multiple funding entities. This individual will actively engage in fostering a program environment that prioritizes client needs, focuses on outcomes, and is dedicated to ongoing quality enhancement.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree required, with a preference for MSW
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred
  • Exceptional engagement and assessment capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in computer use and capable of managing multiple databases
