Key Responsibilities:- Design and execute the content upkeep process for the Mergers and Acquisitions practice area, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform legal research and editorial tasks associated with updating existing Practical Guidance content, including templates, practice notes, and checklists.
- Monitor current awareness and stay abreast of changes in law, ensuring our content remains relevant and up-to-date.
- Draft or revise content, including templates, practice notes, and checklists, to ensure consistency and quality.
- Oversee and execute Practical Guidance content remediation projects focused on improving the customer experience, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Acquire a firm understanding of editorial processes and style guidelines, enforcing best practices and ensuring consistency across all content.
- Improve operational effectiveness by standardizing and streamlining processes, creating documentation, and making recommendations for continuous improvement in editorial workflow.
- Meet or exceed production and quality requirements, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Participate in training as required and perform additional tasks as assigned, demonstrating a commitment to growth and development.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A Juris Doctorate degree and two+ years of practice experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
- Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Adept at maintaining an organized workflow while ensuring accuracy through close attention to detail, with a focus on quality and precision.
- Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style and Bluebook citation rules, with the ability to apply these guidelines consistently.
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines, working effectively under pressure to deliver high-quality results.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing business demands, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
