About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mergers and Acquisitions Private Equity Legal Content Specialist to join our team at Matthew Bender & Company, Inc. Company. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for designing, owning, and executing the content upkeep process for the Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity practice areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, own, and execute the content upkeep process for the Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity practice areas
  • Perform legal research and editorial tasks associated with updating existing Practical Guidance content
  • Monitor current awareness and stay abreast of changes in law
  • Draft or revise content, including templates, practice notes, and checklists
  • Oversee and execute Practical Guidance content remediation projects focused on improving the customer experience
  • Acquire a firm understanding of editorial processes/style guidelines and enforce best practices
  • Improve operational effectiveness by standardizing and streamlining processes, creating documentation, and making recommendations for continuous improvement in editorial workflow
  • Meet or exceed production and quality requirements
  • Participate in training as required and perform additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position must:

  • Have a Juris Doctorate degree and two+ years of practice experience in mergers and acquisitions
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills
  • Be adept at maintaining an organized workflow while ensuring accuracy through close attention to detail
  • Have knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style and Bluebook citation rules
  • Be able to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing business demands
  • Show interpersonal and communication skills
