Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Associate to join our team. This role will play a vital part in supporting our fundraising efforts, ensuring efficient coordination, and providing exceptional administrative support to our gift officers.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with coordinating various activities for gift officers, streamlining their workflow, and promoting effective use of resources.
  2. Support portfolio management, strategy execution, goal setting, proposal preparation, and stewardship initiatives for assigned fundraisers.
  3. Maintain accurate electronic documentation, including engagement activities, proposal tracking, contact reports, donor strategies, and forecasting.
  4. Process timely reports, letters, proposals, or gift agreements following donor contacts, conduct prospect and donor research, and engage in individualized stewardship projects as needed.
  5. Organize events such as workshops, webinars, and campus visits, serving as a valuable resource for assigned gift officers.
  6. Coordinate internal and external meetings, plan travel, and process reimbursements in a timely manner, working collaboratively with all development staff to achieve our goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of one year of experience assisting with fundraising programs or performing complex administrative tasks
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal), project management abilities, and capacity to work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, customer service, and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • High proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills
