Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and attentive Dental Assistant to join our team at Oral Surgery Partners. As a key member of our oral surgery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our surgeons and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during consultations and treatment, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Perform basic laboratory duties, including impressions, pouring up, and trimming models.
  • Maintain proper instrument cleaning and sterilization protocols, adhering to infection control and biohazard standards.
  • Operate and maintain autoclaves, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Set up and prepare surgical trays, identifying and organizing instruments for each procedure.
  • Support patient care and communication, including reviewing charts and providing vital signs.
  • Restock supplies, forms, and handouts, ensuring a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, filing, and charting.
  • Make follow-up phone calls to patients, ensuring excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR/BLS certification required, with the ability to obtain once hired.
  • Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required, with the ability to obtain once hired.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent patient care.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Assistant.
  • Experience working in an oral surgery or dental environment.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including driving and lifting.
