Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during consultations and treatment, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Perform basic laboratory duties, including impressions, model pouring, and trimming.
- Maintain proper instrument cleaning and sterilization protocols, adhering to infection control and biohazard standards.
- Operate and maintain autoclaves, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Set up and break down surgical trays, identifying and organizing instruments.
- Support patient care and communication, including pre-op setup, vital signs, and chart review.
- Restock supplies, forms, and handouts, maintaining a well-stocked and organized environment.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, filing, and charting.
- Make follow-up phone calls to patients, ensuring excellent customer service.
- May take X-rays, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Close and open the office each day, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR/BLS certification required, with the ability to obtain once hired.
- Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required, with the ability to obtain once hired.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent patient care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on professionalism and consistency.
- Preferred qualifications include completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program and certification as a Surgical Assistant.
