Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during consultations and treatment, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Perform basic laboratory duties, including impressions, model pouring, and trimming.
  • Maintain proper instrument cleaning and sterilization protocols, adhering to infection control and biohazard standards.
  • Operate and maintain autoclaves, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Set up and break down surgical trays, identifying and organizing instruments.
  • Support patient care and communication, including pre-op setup, vital signs, and chart review.
  • Restock supplies, forms, and handouts, maintaining a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, filing, and charting.
  • Make follow-up phone calls to patients, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • May take X-rays, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Close and open the office each day, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR/BLS certification required, with the ability to obtain once hired.
  • Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required, with the ability to obtain once hired.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent patient care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on professionalism and consistency.
  • Preferred qualifications include completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program and certification as a Surgical Assistant.
