Your Role:
As a Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of culinary excellence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Arriving for each shift with a positive demeanor, embodying our Core Values of Friendliness, Show, Delight, and Promptness.
  • Overseeing shift operations and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Managing labor costs effectively during each shift.
  • Preparing the kitchen line for optimal performance.
  • Inspiring and guiding the kitchen staff as necessary.
  • Assisting servers with food-related guest inquiries to ensure exceptional service.
  • Filling in roles as needed, including cooking and expediting.
  • Collaborating with Front of House staff to deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Adhering to all Health Department regulations and ensuring your team does the same.

Qualifications:
This position is suited for candidates who possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a kitchen environment (lead cook, kitchen supervisor, Sous Chef).
  • At least 2-3 years of culinary experience in a full-service restaurant.
  • A history of long-term employment with previous employers (minimum of 2 years at each position).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills (bilingual preferred).
  • A leadership style that fosters trust and teamwork.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure.
