Job Title: Tax Senior - Corporate

Marcum LLP is a leading national accounting and advisory firm seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior - Corporate to join our growing and well-established national firm in the Costa Mesa office.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned tax professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills to lead our corporate tax practice. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality tax services to clients, managing multiple engagements, and mentoring staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide innovative business tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to clients in a timely and effective manner.
  • Prepare and review C corporation, S corporation, individual, and partnership returns, exercising professional judgment to identify and develop solutions to tax issues.
  • Supervise and drive the success of multiple engagements in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
  • Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing deadlines, and proactively sharing tax-saving strategies.
  • Work closely with Partners, Senior Managers, Managers, and staff on client management, professional development, and business development activities.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and mentor staff, including performance and engagement reviews.
  • Attend professional development and continuing education sessions on a regular basis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • CPA certification or working towards certification required.
  • 2+ years of public accounting tax experience required.
  • Strong technical skills in tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence, and tax research.
  • Ability to problem-solve and think creatively and logically.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to foster client and staff relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to attract and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships.
