RES Consultant Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our team. As a key member of our tax services group, you will be responsible for preparing complex multi-state, consolidated corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, with experience working with clients in the Construction, Real Estate, Pro Athletes, Manufacturing, and/or Distribution industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional tax services to clients, including preparation of federal and state tax returns and documentation.
  • Prepare complex multi-state, consolidated corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns.
  • Review tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Find legal deductions to save money for clients and organize financial records for clients.
  • Provide advice and answer client questions, while maintaining confidentiality of all personal financial information.
  • Stay up to date on all federal, state, and local tax laws and maintain a high level of technical expertise.
Requirements
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of tax software, including ProSystems FX, CCH engagement, Go Systems, One Source, and Fast Tax.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with a Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
  • 3-5 years of recent public accounting experience, with a strong background in tax services.
  • Experience working with clients in the Construction, Real Estate, Pro Athletes, Manufacturing, and/or Distribution industries.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task, and handle multiple assignments with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
