The Role

Managers in our Commercial practice oversee multiple engagements for clients that range from multi-national corporations to early-stage startups. They engage in business development activities, maintain communication with clients, conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, and provide ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in business development activities, including preparing proposals and presenting in webinars.
  • Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and remain current on legislative changes.
  • Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
  • Provide ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate interns, associates, and senior associates.
  • Receive formal corporate tax training, on-the-job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

Compensation and Benefits

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, a benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics. For individuals hired to work in Seattle, the expected salary range for this role is $109,500 to $171,200.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of Corporate Tax experience.
  • Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service (e.g., CPA or JD).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.
