We are seeking a part-time (27.2 hours/week) clinical support specialist for our Internal Medicine Department. This position qualifies for part-time benefits, including medical and dental coverage. Previous experience or certification as a medical assistant is not required, but candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the role.

Additional part-time and full-time positions may be available

$3,000 SIGNING BONUS for eligible candidates

Position Overview:

As a clinical support specialist at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you will engage in various patient care responsibilities and related tasks within the clinical environment. Your duties will include documenting medical information, administering medications and vaccinations, and gathering patient medical histories and vital signs.
The clinical support specialist aids healthcare providers in delivering timely services as directed by physicians and RNs, adhering to clinic policies and procedures.
All activities are aligned with the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct patient interviews and record essential medical histories Measure vital signs and document findings in patient records Review annual wellness questionnaires with designated patients Administer immunizations Manage messages and communicate clinician responses via phone Input orders for laboratory services

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) OR Current LPN (MN and WI license required) OR Graduate of an accredited EMT program with a current EMT license (national and Minnesota)

PLUS current CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of experience as a medical assistant or LPN in a clinical setting. Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record software.

All candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; outstanding customer service abilities; tact and diplomacy in interactions with patients, families, and care team members; a capacity to demonstrate compassion and empathy in all engagements; an understanding of patient education needs, and the ability to effectively share information with patients, family members, and care team members as necessary; capability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures; proficiency in planning, prioritizing, and completing assigned tasks; ability to maintain composure in stressful situations; experience with EPIC is preferred.
