JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated part-time medical support specialist for our Urgent Care Department. This role is eligible for part-time benefits, including health and dental coverage.

Position Summary:
As a healthcare provider support specialist at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you will engage in various patient care responsibilities and related tasks within a clinical environment. Your duties will encompass documenting medical information, administering medications and vaccinations, and gathering medical histories and vital signs.

Your role is crucial in assisting healthcare providers to ensure timely service delivery, following the directives of physicians and registered nurses, while adhering to clinic policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient interviews and record essential medical histories.
- Measure and document vital signs accurately.
- Review wellness questionnaires with designated patients.
- Administer immunizations as required.
- Manage communications and relay clinician responses through phone interactions.
- Process orders for laboratory services.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certification not required).
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with valid licenses in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
- Graduate of an accredited Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program with a current EMT license (national and Minnesota).

Additionally, a current CPR certification for health professionals from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Experience:
- One year of experience as a medical assistant or LPN in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record software.

All candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding customer service abilities, and the capacity to demonstrate compassion and understanding in all interactions. You should be able to effectively share information with patients and their families and exhibit strong organizational skills to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.
