Position Overview:

As a healthcare provider support specialist at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you will be responsible for various patient care tasks and related duties within the clinical environment. These responsibilities include documenting medical information, administering medications and vaccinations, and gathering medical histories and vital signs.
The healthcare provider support specialist aids healthcare professionals in delivering timely services as directed by physicians or registered nurses, in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
All initiatives and activities are aligned with the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct patient interviews and record essential medical histories Measure vital signs and log findings in patient records Review annual wellness questionnaires with designated patients Administer vaccinations Manage messages and communicate clinician responses via phone Input orders for laboratory services

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) OR Current LPN (MN and WI licensure required) OR Graduate of an accredited EMT program with a current EMT license (national and Minnesota)

PLUS current CPR certification for healthcare professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of experience as a medical assistant or LPN in a clinical setting. Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record software.

All candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; outstanding customer service abilities; tact and diplomacy in interactions with patients, families, and care team members; a demonstrated capacity for compassion and empathy in all engagements; an understanding of patient education needs, and the ability to effectively share information with patients, family members, and care team members as necessary; the capability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures; the ability to plan, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks; and the capacity to remain composed in stressful situations. Experience with EPIC is preferred.
