Music Therapist

Regions Hospital is seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team in a part-time, benefit-eligible position. This role will involve working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Friday, from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver music therapy services in a professional and compassionate manner, utilizing music therapy techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
- Document services provided and communicate with referral sources and other treating providers as necessary.
- Participate as an integral member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment and follow-up, as needed.
- Refer patients for additional integrative therapies when appropriate and necessary.
- Bachelor's, Master's Degree, or equivalency in music therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Music Therapy Association, along with completion of an internship.
- Experience providing music therapy in a hospital and/or healthcare setting.
- Current board certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists or a passing score on the Board Certification Examination awaiting certification.
- Post-graduate degree.
- Neurologic Music Therapy Certification.
- Advanced certification and/or licensure to support the position.
