Regions Hospital is seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team in a part-time, benefit-eligible position. This role will involve working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Friday, from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
Job SummaryAs a Music Therapist, you will provide music therapy services to patients in a professional and compassionate manner. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering music therapy services using appropriate techniques for individual patients
- Documenting services provided and communicating with referral sources and other treating providers as needed
- Participating as an integral member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Providing education to patients and families regarding treatment and follow-up, as well as referrals for additional integrative therapies when necessary
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's, Master's degree, or equivalent in music therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Music Therapy Association
- Completion of an internship
- Experience providing music therapy in a hospital and/or healthcare setting
- Current board certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists or a passing score on the Board Certification Examination awaiting certification
