The Southcentral Foundation is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a member of our multi-disciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in facilitating skill development and providing direct care in the milieu for our customer-owners.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and support customer-owner care that is highly interactive and participatory, focusing on customer-owner outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and supportive treatment environment.
- Provide supervision of customer-owners to meet State of Alaska Licensing regulations.
- Three years of experience working in a behavioral health setting, or a combination of education and experience with major coursework in Counseling, Psychology, and/or Social Sciences.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Alaska driver's license that meets State of Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) license requirements.
- No more than three moving traffic violations or two at-fault traffic accidents in the previous three years.
- No 'Driving Under the Influence' (DUI), 'Driving While Intoxicated' (DWI), or 'Operating Under the Influence' (OUI) violations.
- Two additional years of professional and supervised social service or related work experience working in a residential behavioral health setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Obtain Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) approval within three years of Provisional Provider Application approval date with the State of Alaska.
Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment.
