Job Summary

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Behavioral Health Consultant is a key member of our integrated care team, responsible for providing mental health support to customer-owners. This role involves working closely with Primary Care Providers to recognize and address psychological symptoms and conditions using the bio-psychosocial model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver flexible, fast-paced services across the lifespan, offering symptom-focused assessment, targeted interventions, and referral to specialty behavioral health services.
  • Work alongside Primary Care Providers to provide mental health support via brief intervention.
  • Collaborate with the integrated care team to provide comprehensive care to customer-owners.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in a behavioral health field, including Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
  • Alaska Clinical Licensure in a designated field within four years of hire.
Additional Qualifications for Behavioral Health Consultant II

In addition to the qualifications above, you will also need:

  • Two years of supervised clinical work experience for Master's level behavioral health, or two years of post-graduate clinical experience for PhD or PsyD level.
  • Demonstrated proficiency as a Behavioral Health Consultant I at SCF.
  • Current Alaska Clinical Licensure in a designated field.

As a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, you will be required to have documentation of the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19 vaccination.
