As a Peer Support Specialist, you will use your personal experience and recovery to guide, coach, and mentor youth who are transitioning into independence.
The position involves collaborating with the youth's treatment team to support recovery and independence, providing one-on-one or group activities to share experiences, build relationships, and develop community living skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a minimum productivity target rate of 80%
- Providing support and guidance to youth in their recovery journey
- Encouraging youth participation in wellness and recovery activities
Requirements include:
- At least 18 years of age
- GED or High School diploma
- Competence to provide peer support services by virtue of personal experience and a willingness to share it
