The Solutions Engineering division at InvoiceCloud collaborates with clients, technology partners, and product development teams to create and implement new integrations that drive market success. These integrations empower our Sales and Operations teams to utilize cloud-native, scalable, and reliable solutions.

As InvoiceCloud continues to grow at an impressive organic rate of approximately 40% annually, complemented by strategic acquisitions, we are on a trajectory to handle hundreds of millions of transactions in the near future. To support this ambitious growth, we are seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering who possesses the expertise and experience to spearhead the delivery of new integrations for our leading SaaS offerings. The successful candidate will serve as a primary authority on integration architecture, engineering, and operational support, with a focus on expanding our market reach in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Initial 90 Days:

  • Gain insights into the existing business model, key initiatives, and stakeholders.
  • Understand the current cloud infrastructure, processes, and tools in operation.
  • Familiarize yourself with key systems design and operational workflows.
  • Explore our platform's integration points, methodologies, and practices.
  • Assess tools and processes utilized in integration discovery and design to promote continuous improvement.

Ongoing Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a focused team dedicated to the health and delivery of our Integration Portfolio.
  • Adopt a hands-on approach to mentor and guide the team, ensuring accountability for their initiatives.
  • Recruit top engineering talent and engage in the complete hiring process.
  • Refine the current integration strategy encompassing content, marketing, and project management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to synchronize major integration project releases.
  • Establish a technical vision and direction for the team, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching goals.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across internal teams and key business partners to execute company strategies effectively.
  • Encourage a culture of open communication and transparency with stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement operational processes to ensure efficient service delivery of cloud services.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering or technical services with a proven track record in cloud solution implementation.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in a leadership role within engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in integrating services within a public cloud environment, with hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of cloud integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, XML, ETL, and security protocols like SAML and OAuth.
  • Experience across various infrastructure domains including compute, storage, networking, and monitoring.
  • Strong technical background in financial systems, supporting enterprise software development in areas such as transactional databases and APIs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure and software security best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, capable of collaborating with customers, vendors, and engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
