POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the Assembly Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the tasks assigned to Assembly and Sub-assembly teams. This role involves working from schedules, customer orders, technical drawings, route sheets, and verbal directives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, train, evaluate, guide, motivate, and manage the performance of employees.
- Plan and oversee the configuration of Assembly Stations/Cells, which may involve the use of light machinery and small presses.
- Assess workloads and delivery timelines, ensuring an effective distribution of the workforce.
- Collaborate with the Assembly Manager to review operational processes.
- Update departmental schedules to monitor job completions and parts deliveries.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to identify shortages of materials and components.
- Handle all returned products from customers, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
- Monitor work progress, foresee potential delays or performance issues, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
Provide direction, assistance, and training to team members regarding schedules, methods, performance standards, safety protocols, shop regulations, and other work-related matters.
Maintain a disciplined work environment and foster positive employee relations.
Approve daily attendance records.
