Key Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
  • Design, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes within an industrial environment.
  • Evaluate and enhance production methodologies, leveraging your expertise in product design, materials, and fabrication techniques.
  • Create comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including process flow diagrams and operational instructions.
  • Facilitate the transition of new products into production, collaborating closely with manufacturing teams during initial builds.
  • Analyze workforce utilization, spatial requirements, and workflow to optimize equipment layout and workspace efficiency.
  • Engage with engineering teams to ensure that Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles are integrated into product designs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Estimate production timelines, staffing needs, and associated costs, including the development of work instructions and tooling.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and debugging of defective items, partnering with Quality Engineering to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, along with 2+ years of relevant experience; or 5+ years of applicable work experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A dependable and analytical mindset, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues and utilizing data for informed decision-making.
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional skills that would be advantageous include:
  • Experience with Lean-Sigma methodologies, including problem-solving and waste reduction techniques.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as CREO, SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
  • Hands-on experience with machining processes, including CNC milling and lathe operations.
  • Programming knowledge.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform occasional bending.
