SUPERVISOR: JRC Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general guidance of the JRC Program Supervisor, the JRC Advisor is tasked with delivering exceptional care and oversight for the clients enrolled in the JRC program, implementing individualized treatment plans tailored for each client. This role requires a commitment to the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles, and Strategic Plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure adherence to the Agency's Code of Conduct, alongside all relevant Policies and Procedures. Safeguard confidentiality and security of all client and staff-related documents and records. Guide clients through the daily activities of the JRC Program. Provide both individual and group supervision to clients in care, ensuring accountability for all individuals at all times. Participate in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the JRC facility. Prepare meals punctually, adhering closely to established menu plans. Uphold all regulations and structure within the JRC Program. Establish behavioral boundaries for clients within the JRC Program. Utilize approved crisis intervention and prevention techniques in accordance with Agency policies and procedures. Assist the program supervisor and case manager in conducting life skills and psycho-educational groups for youth in the program. Transport clients to and from program-related activities. Collaborate with recreation staff to create a weekly recreation activity calendar and support youth during these activities. Maintain daily logs and group records for each client. Document daily progress notes in the NYS CONNECTIONS database system. Complete weekly summaries for each youth and submit them to Probation. Act as the primary counselor for designated youth as determined by the supervisor.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow established policies and procedures, providing suggestions for enhancements as necessary. Demonstrate punctuality and attendance in meetings, training sessions, and other assigned duties. Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor. Exhibit and promote cultural competency towards clients, families, and staff, fostering respect and understanding through training and Agency cultural initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree in the human services field is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in child care is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Availability to work evenings. Possession of a valid NYS driver's license in good standing. Comfort with community-based work involving high-risk youth.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The following physical demands are expected of an employee on a regular basis: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and climbing stairs.

Ability to drive. Ability to walk short distances. Ability to navigate stairs. Ability to exit a location quickly.
