Position Overview

The Re-engaging Teens; Restoring Justice Program (RTRJ) is dedicated to supporting young individuals aged 14-19 who face challenges such as school dropout, involvement in the juvenile justice system, homelessness, and food insecurity. This role is crucial in fostering connections with supportive adults.

As a Community-Based Transitional Navigator, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team, focusing on specific areas such as school engagement, youth homelessness, juvenile justice, community empowerment, and workforce development. Your responsibilities will encompass a comprehensive range of support services, including:

  • Implementing restorative practices
  • Overseeing data collection and program evaluation
  • Providing detailed reports to the RTRJ Associate Director
  • Coordinating requests for educational services
  • Maintaining accurate records in compliance with agency standards
  • Conducting outreach and disseminating information
  • Facilitating referrals and readiness for services
  • Offering immediate support and crisis intervention
  • Delivering prevention education with fidelity, including asset-building initiatives
  • Engaging in asset development activities
  • Providing alternative services and transitional support
  • Acting as an agency ambassador and liaison
  • Ensuring thorough record-keeping and quality assurance
  • Participating in supervision and mandatory training sessions
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree, advanced training, or certification in relevant areas.
