As one of the initial Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in the United States, we provide a comprehensive range of medical, dental, behavioral health, and community services.

We are currently looking for a Patient Financial Advisor who will work under the supervision of the Financial Counselor Supervisor. This role is essential in assisting uninsured patients by enrolling them in the Sliding Scale Fee Discount Program.

Key Responsibilities:

The Patient Financial Advisor will be responsible for:
  • Facilitating enrollment for uninsured patients in the Sliding Scale Discount Program.
  • Providing counseling to patients regarding their financial options.
  • Coordinating the collection of accounts effectively.
  • Assisting patients in obtaining insurance coverage through Facilitated Enrollers.
  • Ensuring compliance with all billing and reimbursement regulations.
  • Actively contributing as a supportive team member at Jordan Health.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment is required.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Certification as a Billing Specialist is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
  • Completion of CAC Training within the first year of employment is necessary.
  • Ongoing participation in Department of Health webinars to maintain CAC certification is required.

Special Skills and Knowledge Required:
Proficiency in:
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health records is preferred.
  • Ability to engage with patients and colleagues in a compassionate and approachable manner.
