About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Help Desk Technician to join our team at Temple Building Systems, Inc. in Greater Chicago, IL area. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to our clients by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network problems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or remote access.
  • Dive into troubleshooting to resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Travel to customer locations to assist with in-person IT needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions and solutions in our ticketing system.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring client systems, including desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • Manage service requests with care, prioritizing urgent issues and escalating them when needed.
  • Share knowledge by guiding clients on software applications and best practices.
  • Collaborate with teammates to create helpful knowledge base articles and improve support processes.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2+ years practical experience as a Help Desk Technician or related job function.
  • Solid understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
