Radiologic Technologist I

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist I to join our team at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures of moderate complexity. Your expertise will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care and adhering to radiation standards and guidelines established by governing agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, with a focus on delivering high-quality images and ensuring patient safety.
- Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic or special procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
- Assess, identify, and respond to patient needs for adjustment or intervention to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and family members to provide accurate explanations and instructions.
- Follow safety standards and conduct all imaging procedures accordingly, using ALARA principles to protect patients, staff, and the general public.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below.
- ARRT-R certification as a Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer.
- CMRT certification as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure.
- BLS certification as a Basic Life Support provider.
- Experience in diagnostic radiology or a related field.
- Knowledge of radiation safety standards and guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, physicians, and staff.
