Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with complex interventional and therapeutic radiologic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with highly specialized and complex interventional and therapeutic radiologic procedures, including peripheral and coronary angioplasty, stents, rotablators, artherectomy, laser, and coronary ultrasound.
  • Participate in the movement and alignment of equipment, as well as the control of radiation throughout procedures.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and adhere to radiation standards and guidelines established by radiology agencies.
  • Mentor and educate Cath Lab Rad Tech I's, Cath Lab RN's, and students on specialized procedures and techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist, or equivalent experience with Houston Methodist.
  • ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure registration.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and team player skills with all levels of the healthcare team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
Work Environment

This position requires availability to be on call and may require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area.
